The Proof

The Proof Exists Before Anyone Asks for It.

An auditor wants evidence of a governed process. "The AI did it" is not a defensible position. Ariad writes the evidence as the work happens, so an audit is an export, not an excavation. And it keeps cost in view, so month twelve costs less than month one.

What this part answers

Can We Prove It Without Trusting the Vendor? Does It Get Cheaper?

Signed at execution

Every result written as a signed record the moment the work happens. Not batched, not summarized, not recalled later.

Explains the decision

The record captures why, not just what: the data the agent looked at, the policy that applied, the logic path it took.

Compounds, instead of accruing debt

Proven paths become routines a person approved. Each step runs on the cheapest approved model that meets its risk. Cost falls with use.

Audit and Evidence Packs

At the end of an outcome someone will ask for proof. Ariad assembles it as the work happens.

All activity, decision traces and evidence in one view. Pick a deliverable, a section and a time window; preview every item; download one package for your auditors, with who assembled and reviewed it.

  • Signed artifacts with lineage; every item previews with its signature and raw detail
  • A verification manifest, so tampering downstream is detectable by your reviewers

Decision-level audit

A log says what moved. The record explains the decision.

What the agent saw, which policy applied, what logic ran, how confident it was, who approved what and how long it held. Because every unit carries its own evidence, the status report and the audit are the same artifact.

  • Inputs, policies, gates, reasoning path, confidence, manifest

Units of delivery

Progress is n of N verified. Never a percent typed by hand.

Each unit, a case resolved, a page migrated, a branch cut over, carries its own evidence and is verified against live systems. What the steering committee sees and what the auditor opens are the same data.

  • Verified at execution time; nobody types a status into a report
  • One unit at a gate is visible as exactly that

Cost and Optimization

Cost by outcome, map, deliverable, workflow and agent. Every day.

Tokens, calls and cost at every level, over any date range, beside the projected and realized benefit of every approved change. A page your finance partner can open, not a quarterly surprise.

  • One ledger: the outcome, its maps, its deliverables, its workflows, its agents
  • Top cost drivers and recent calls, so a spike has a name within the hour

02 · ARoutines · cutting token spend before it compounds

Stop paying the model to do what it already did. Routines cut token spend before it compounds.

Most of an outcome's token spend is the same work, run again. Ariad watches live execution for the call patterns that return the same shape of answer every time, measures what they cost in tokens, and proposes compiling each one to code your engineers can read and diff. The model stays on the exceptions; a person approves every switch. Token consumption falls month over month on purpose, and the ledger shows it. Routines retire model calls. They never retire judgment.

Model tiering

The cheapest approved model that meets the risk.

Premium models stop burning on commodity steps. The scan compares your approved models on each agent's own work: quality, cost, latency, errors. A switch is proposed with the numbers, and a person approves it.

  • Only models your enterprise approved; your keys, your registry
  • Quality, cost, latency and error rate side by side, per agent

Workforce hygiene

Nothing idle on the payroll.

Agents that no longer earn their place are flagged with the reason: orphaned, deprecated, redundant, idle or low value. Each shows what it would reclaim per month and the action a person takes.

  • Orphaned, deprecated, redundant, idle, low-value, each with its evidence
  • Archive, pause, downgrade schedule or decommission, with approval

The curve bends

Month twelve costs less than month one. That is the shape, not a figure.

Around month three, repeated model calls on high-volume steps start to compound. The fix is to move exactly that work onto a reviewed code path, found in real execution rather than guessed at in a workshop. Improvement a person approved and a ledger recorded is an asset.

  • Routines bend the curve; right-sizing bends it further; hygiene removes the waste
  • Every hardening is proposed, reviewed and approved; no shadow shortcuts

Questions auditors ask

In Your Words.

Can the evidence be altered after the fact?

Evidence is signed, with lineage, and a verification manifest travels with the pack, so any later change is detectable by your own reviewers.

Where is the pack stored and for how long?

In your environment, under your retention policy. Nothing is held by us.

Can we verify it without Ariad running?

Yes. The manifest and the signed artifacts are readable by your reviewers independently of the platform.

Do routines remove human review?

No. Routines retire repeated model calls. Blocked-action review, exceptions, escalations and accountability gates are never candidates.

Do we see cost per agent?

Per outcome, map, deliverable, workflow and agent, every day. Changes to models or the roster come to you as proposals.
